Melissa Castro (USA)

Melissa is a Photögrapher based in Los Angeles. Born in Brazil, relocated to the United States to study Photography. A graduate of the Santa Monica College Photography program in California. She has a passion for photographing people, she sharpens her focus to highlight the beauty of the individuality in her subjects. She has been working as a freelance photographer since 2001 and has traveled extensively throughout Brazil, North America, Europe and Africa. Her work has been seen in Rolling Stone Magazine, LA Weekly, LA Times, Lucky Magazine, and many publicity packages for bands and musicians. Her recent client list includes AKQA S.F. (McDonald's and Autodesk), KK Los Angeles Agency and several record labels. A passionate environmentalist and avid scuba diver, Melissa also works pro-bono for the Southern California based non-profit organization "Heal The Bay".
