Seiji Kumagai (Japan)

Born in the city of Hakodate in Hokkaido in 1966, Seiji Kumagai now lives in Tokyo. He graduated from Nihon Kogakuin College in 1987. In 1994, he received an Excellence Award in the 10th New Cosmos of Photography public-submission competition, and he won the Grand Prize at the 3rd New Cosmos of Photography Exhibition. His many one-man photo collections include “Morito de Janeiro,” “I went to bright place,” “spring, 2011,” “EACH LITTLE THING,” “MY HOUSE,” and “BRIGHT MOMENTS.” He also operates the Web bookstore Book Shop Marukuma.
